OUR STORY

A few years ago the founders of the original Data Cooperative recognized that unfortunately, after 26 years, the concept had begun to run its course. Direct mail and email results were declining and file sizes were shrinking. Customer Acquisition, the life-blood of marketers, was draining away.

Fortunately, after stepping outside the box and making substantial investments they found the solution. Path2Response Co-op members access universes that no one else is currently providing. This new concept, designed by an experienced team, is extremely easy to test.

A 30-year veteran and original cooperative pioneer, Brian has spent his entire career building creative solutions to help marketers improve their efforts. By recognizing the challenge that marketers face and understanding which media drives behavior and response by consumers, Brian has been focused on developing solutions to integrate both online and offline media into the cooperative environment. Brian was previously the president of Epsilon Targeting (formerly Abacus), held senior marketing roles at The Sharper Image and Sara Lee Direct.

A software developer, with over 25 years of big data experience. Michael focuses on developing solutions that solve business challenges using the latest technologies and software applications. As CTO of Path2Response, Michael oversees the technical and engineering design of the Path2Response cooperative database. His advanced data management, data visualization and artificial intelligence domain expertise is the core of the Path2Response database of the future. Michael has built a career around providing content management enterprise solutions to diverse industries, including the legal, aerospace, and publishing industries. Previous to Path2Response, Michael held senior tech development and management roles at InfoTrust Group, KLA-Tencor, and Apple.

As Chief Product Officer, Paul oversees the development and ongoing improvement of Path2Response products and services. His background includes broad experience in product management, strategic planning, and market development. Paul works to deliver solutions that produce actionable results for clients across markets and channels. Before joining Path2Response Paul was EVP, Product and Market Development at the Reunion Group. Prior to that he was Senior Vice President, Strategy and Market Planning at Epsilon Targeting (formerly Abacus). Paul also held senior marketing roles at Orvis and The Gardener’s Supply Company.

Steve brings nearly 30 years of Multi-channel experience to bring Path2Response’s innovative story to the marketplace. Steve has significant experience in high-growth, innovative environments primarily focused on strategic planning, sales, marketing and operations. Steve’s focus with Path2Response is Business Development and Partnership Development. Most recently, Steve was the CEO of Nebula Partners, a Business Intelligence and Analytics firm serving clients worldwide. Steve has also held leadership roles at Accent Performance Marketing, Dotomi, Imagitas, Epsilon Marketing (Abacus) and Hammacher Schlemmer. Steve is also active in workforce and economic development domestically and abroad.

Maria brings over 25 years of Data Co-operative and Multi-Channel Retail experience to Path2Response. Maria has expertise in sales, marketing, merchandising, and advertising for multi-channel retailers with proven success in all aspects of the selling cycle, and joins Path2Response to lead Client Development. Maria has been focused on selling solutions that drive increased revenue for catalogers and direct-to-consumer, financial, and insurance companies. Previously, Maria held senior leadership positions at Multi-Solution Marketing and Lenox Corporation.

Bill is no stranger to the co-op world, he has been involved in four different Data Cooperatives over the last 25 years. He is Path2Response’s VP of Client Partners and brings a tremendous amount of knowledge to the P2R team. His Expertise includes finance and business management experience. In 2002, Bill co-founded NextAction Corporation, a venture backed start-up. Bill helped grow the company to one of the country’s largest cooperative marketing databases in just 5 years by leveraging his business development and sales acumen to build the company’s client base to 700+ companies. Bill has held key roles at iBehavior, Abacus and NDL (now a subsidy of Equifax).

Bruce Hammer has spent 28 years helping both Nonprofits and Commercial organizations acquire new, high value donors and customers. With Path2Response, he assists fundraising organizations in tapping into new sources of data by leveraging web intent data to acquire new donors. Bruce is also a DMFA Board Member. Prior to Path2Response, Bruce spent almost 7 years with DonorBase driving new business and providing co-operative data services to over 400 Nonprofits.

Mary Gessner

Vice President of Data Science

Mary leads Path2Response’s Data Science team, ceaselessly exploring how the combination of online and offline consumer behavior improves marketers’ campaigns. She thrives in this world of BIG data having previously been part of co-ops in their earliest days. Mary held senior roles at Epsilon Targeting (formerly Abacus), Datalogix and Return Path. She knows BIG data from the digital marketing world too. She led the Analytics team at Return Path, leveraging her statistical know-how to optimize mailers’ digital marketing campaigns. She loves uncovering patterns in data and sharing those with marketers to improve both short, and long-term, strategies.

Aaron Dix | VP, Data Acquisition, Path2Response | Data Driven Customer Prospecting

Aaron Dix

Vice President of Data Operations

Aaron joined Path2Response as the VP of Data Acquisition and is helping to lead the efforts in changing the data cooperative, starting with data acquisition. His responsibilities include managing Path2Response’s growing pipeline of customer data from customer implementation to ongoing data quality and processing. Previously, as the Chief Software Architect, Aaron lead the technical direction for Channelinsight’s industry leading Channel CRM SaaS platform which processed real-time, global POS transactions. After working for 12 years as the Director of Data Engineering for the Database Marketing division at Epsilon, Aaron developed a passion for big data, technology and managing fast-paced, solution-driven teams.
